Spring is a GREAT time to clean out the garage, freshen up the house and take an inventory of what you have for insurance coverage.  We forget at Christmas that the new jewelry, musical Instrument or new collectable item needs to be added to the insurance coverage.  I like to go through the house once a year and take videos or pictures of each room, each closet and drawer so that if there is any horrible storm or fire that destroys the house, I have details saved to the cloud that will help me turn in items for claim.  I can also have my insurance agent attach the video/pictures to my customer account as well.  I remember sending all the pictures and billings for our daughters guitar, banjo, computer and camera equipment as they were purchased and added as a floater. We could send her off to college with the security of knowing if one of the items was damaged, it could be replaced.  We chose a zero deductible and that was wonderful when her camera was hit by a foul ball and when her computer fell off the table and couldn't be fixed.

So this spring when you pull all the bikes and lawn equipment out onto your driveway, let it remind you that you need to do an inventory check for your insurance coverage needs as well.  When you are cleaning all the windows and beating all the rugs, remember that with this fresh new clean house it needs protection.  As you enter the time for vacations, weddings, college move-ins, relocations, new vehicles/boats/RVs/Motorcycles and don't forget Garage Sale and Estate Finds... to give your insurance agent a call.  If you would like a quote- we would love to help you review your needs and provide you with a free quote.
